Project Overview
Samsruthi Equip is a fabrication workshop in Bengaluru (Mylasandra Gate, Begur–Jigani Road) doing fabrication, sub-assembly and full assembly in mild steel and stainless steel. Established in 2024, with a team carrying around 14 years of fabrication experience.
Almost everything they make is built to order from a drawing, a photo or a plain description — chemical tanks, water and oil storage tanks, ladders, trolleys, sorting tables and full kitchen equipment lines. Nothing sits in stock waiting to be sold.
The goal was to build a website that works as a catalogue, not a brochure: something a buyer can browse, get specifications from, and turn into a quote enquiry without a phone call in the middle.
The Challenge
A made-to-order fabrication business has a specific problem. The work is real and the capability is genuine, but the product is custom — so there is no fixed price list to publish and no shop floor to photograph. Showing the work as a photo gallery on one long page tells a buyer nothing about what they can actually order.
Buyers here arrive with a job in mind, not a product name. They want to know whether you can build it, in what material, and roughly what it takes. If the site cannot answer those three questions, the enquiry goes to whoever answered fastest on WhatsApp.
What I Built
Need a website built properly?
Fast, modern, fully owned — from ₹7,999, delivered in 1–2 weeks.
Chat on WhatsAppSee pricingA product-led website organised around the way the shop floor actually works, with pages for:
- Company introduction and workshop details
- Full product catalogue (27 products)
- Individual product pages with material, dimensions and enquiry
- Product categories grouped into four verticals
- Gallery
- Contact page with phone, WhatsApp and address
- Privacy policy and terms of sale
A Catalogue, Not a Gallery
Every one of the 27 products has its own page and its own URL. An MS chemical tank, an SS honey storage tank, a platform trolley and an SS bain marie are separate pages rather than items in a scrolling grid.
This is the decision that does the most work. A single-page photo dump can only be browsed. Separate product pages can be searched — someone typing a specific item into Google lands on exactly that item’s page, with its photograph, its material options and an enquiry button already on screen.
The page count is not vanity metrics. Each product page is one more thing the business can be found for, and one more place a quote request can start.
Categories That Match the Workshop
The catalogue is grouped the way the shop actually runs, in four verticals:
| Vertical | Products |
|---|---|
| Tanks, Tables & Ladders | 10 |
| Stainless Steel Products | 6 |
| Kitchen Equipment | 6 |
| Warehouse Equipment | 5 |
Grouping by vertical means a buyer who thinks in “stainless steel kitchen equipment” or “warehouse handling” finds the right shelf immediately, instead of scrolling past tanks to reach a trolley.
Made-to-Order, Stated Honestly
Because nothing is stocked, the site says so — and then explains what an enquiry needs to contain. The about page sets out the process in three steps:
Send → Confirm → Quote
Send a drawing, a photo, or a description with dimensions. The workshop confirms material, thickness and finish, and whether the sizes are fabricable. You get a price and a lead time, and nothing is ordered until you approve it.
Publishing that on the site does more than set expectations. It pre-qualifies enquiries. A visitor who knows they need to send a drawing sends a drawing, instead of a vague “what is the price of a tank” that starts a long back-and-forth.
Mobile-First Enquiry
Most of this audience is on a phone, and often outside working hours. Tap-to-call and WhatsApp sit in the header, the footer and on every product page. There is no form to fill in before a conversation can start, and no address to transcribe.
That matters because the enquiry is rarely a purchase. It is the start of a conversation that ends in a quote a few days later, and the goal is to make starting that conversation take one tap.
Result
Samsruthi Equip now has a catalogue that works as a sales tool:
- Buyers can browse 27 products across four verticals and reach the one they want in two clicks
- Every product has its own page that can be found through search
- Specifications, material options and the made-to-order process are published, not explained repeatedly on the phone
- Call and WhatsApp are one tap away on mobile, at any hour
- The workshop address, privacy policy and terms of sale are public, which matters for B2B buyers doing supplier checks
The website no longer waits for someone to remember to message it. It keeps working after hours, and it explains the business to a buyer who found it through a search rather than a referral.
